Legal Notice & Disclaimers

Last Updated: May 6, 2026

Welcome to Gus Labs. The following legal notices and disclaimers apply to all products, custom PC builds, and services offered through the Gus Labs website. By purchasing from us or using our website, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Performance and FPS (Frames Per Second) Estimates

Any performance benchmarks, "estimated FPS" (Frames Per Second), or game capability metrics displayed on the Gus Labs website or promotional materials are estimates provided for general guidance only.

Actual PC performance will fluctuate based on a variety of factors outside of our control, including but not limited to: your monitor's resolution, in-game graphic settings, background applications, operating system updates, game engine optimizations, thermal environments, and software driver versions. Gus Labs does not legally guarantee specific frame rates or performance benchmarks for any individual game or application.

2. Hardware Modification and Overclocking

Gus Labs custom PCs are meticulously assembled, rigorously stress-tested, and shipped operating at safe, manufacturer-recommended specifications (including standard XMP/EXPO memory profiles).

Any manual BIOS adjustments, extreme overclocking, undervolting, or physical modification of the components (including custom water-cooling loops, delidding, or thermal paste replacement) performed by the user is done entirely at their own risk. Hardware failure resulting from user-applied over-voltage, thermal damage due to unauthorized modifications, or improper handling of components will immediately void your Gus Labs system warranty.

3. Electrical Safety Warning

Desktop computers contain sensitive and potentially dangerous electrical components. Under no circumstances should a customer attempt to open, dismantle, or modify the Power Supply Unit (PSU). PSUs retain lethal electrical charges even after being disconnected from the wall. Gus Labs accepts no liability for any personal injury, death, or property damage resulting from a customer opening power supplies, mishandling electrical components, or operating the PC without proper grounding and surge protection. If you suspect your power supply is faulty, contact Gus Labs support immediately.

4. Third-Party Manufacturer Warranties

While Gus Labs provides a comprehensive system warranty covering labor and parts for the period specified at checkout, individual components inside your PC (such as the GPU, RAM, Motherboard, or Power Supply) may carry longer independent warranties provided directly by the original manufacturer (e.g., ASUS, MSI, Corsair, AMD).

After your Gus Labs system warranty expires, you may still be eligible to claim hardware replacements or repairs directly through the original component manufacturer's RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process. Gus Labs is not responsible for fulfilling or managing third-party manufacturer warranties once your system warranty with us has concluded.

5. Acknowledgement of Country

Gus Labs acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands across Australia upon which our business operates. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their ongoing connections to land, sea, and community.
